  • GSBR is a 501(c)(6) organization that promotes and addresses the common interests of energy producers, large industrial energy consumers, businesses, and community partners in the Gulf South.

  • Now is the moment to unite. There is widespread interest among businesses and governmental leaders in energy and industrial development initiatives that will enhance the Gulf South region and the US economy as a whole. The region is benefiting from unprecedented leadership in Washington, D.C. by elected officials from the region.

    GSBR is seeking to capitalize on that influence and work with business organizations, local communities, and academic institutions to promote sound and sustainable energy policies and practices that support economic growth, community development and global competitiveness in the Gulf South.

  • Founding members include Alabama Power Company; Entergy Corporation and its five operating companies: Entergy Arkansas, Entergy Louisiana, Entergy Mississippi, Entergy New Orleans, and Entergy Texas; Kinder Morgan; and Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc.

    Our list of members is continuing to grow with partners who share our priority of achieving collaborative solutions to meet the rapidly growing energy, infrastructure, and workforce demands in the Gulf South region.

  • We envision a policy landscape that actively supports economic growth and the additional energy infrastructure that will be needed to support that growth. We are focused on energy reliability, infrastructure modernization, permitting reform, and extending key tax incentives that keep our region competitive.

    There is an important role for the federal government in developing policies that promote additional innovation in vital energy and infrastructure projects and the commercialization and success of those projects, resulting in a lasting positive impact on local communities and the entire region.

  • We share the goal of building strong business and community networks to drive growth and innovative technologies across the Gulf South. Our work will support our partners and communities to deliver policies, and resources that will drive economic prosperity and growth, jobs and workforce development, and an overall improvement in the quality of life in the Gulf South region.
